Women's Support Group
Tuesdays • 7:30 p.m. • Starts January 15
Feeling frazzled? Feeling unheard? Feeling rundown with no time for yourself? Do you feel that...MEN don't get it...they're clueless. Come and get your weekly dose of Vitamin C -- Communication, Control, Commitment and Confidence. Finally, there's a place where one size fits all! This exciting new group is facilitated by Child & Family Psychologists" clinical associates Julee Cox, L.M.H.C. and Carol Weiss, L.M.H.C. Carol Weiss and Julee Cox are both licensed mental health counselors. Weiss has a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Miami. Her philosophy for human development is that the person will make the appropriate choices when the mind, body and soul are integrated. Cox has a master's degree in clinical psychology from Barry University. She has been practicing within the field of psychology for over 15 years and focuses on identifying unhealthy behavioral patterns, their origins and ways to change them.
Cost: $3 per week
Suddenly Single Group
For Singles Ages 45-60 • Sundays • 4:30-5:30 p.m. • Starts January 6
Thinking about meeting the right person by staring at the computer screen? Don't do it. There's no chemistry, no feedback and NO FUN! Come meet real people and talk, laugh, share stories and meet new friends. Bring your friends, too! Refreshments will be served.
Cost: $5 per person
55+ and Single Again
Sundays • 10:30 a.m. • Ongoing
Are you widowed, separated or divorced? This wonderful, weekly social experience is just for you. You may develop new friendships and join in lively discussions facilitated by Hy Roth. Topics include relationships, sexuality, overcoming the blues, and living in today's world.
Cost: Members: $2 / Non-members: $3
Bereavement Group
Fridays • 1:30 p.m. • Ongoing • FREE
This is a free support group for men and women who are deling with grief and are having difficulty coping. Sponsored by Jewish Family Service of Broward County and conducted by a licnsed therapist. For information call Jewish Family Services at 954-370-2140.
Osteoporosis Support Group Building Strength Together
Sunday • 10:30 a.m. • January 13 • FREE
If you live with osteoporosis, we want you to be a part of our support group. We usually meet on the second Sunday of each month. The group, affiliated with the National Osteoporosis Foundation, is open to those age 35 and up. It provides opportunities for people to learn from each other, as well as from invited guest lecturers. For information call Joann at 954-473-1625 or Heidi at 954-792-1766.

Berrin Family Library
These healing sessions help us share common problems and better understand ourselves.The Solo Support Group will meet Thursdays in the Berrin Family Library Room 510 Youth and Adult building from 7:30-9:00 pm. Facilitated by Dr. Barbara Stoler. We hope to better understand ourselves and provide tools to help us build stronger relationships. There is no fee for these healing meetings.

By partnering with the nationally recognized Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program, the Tampa Jewish Community Center is able to offer older adults a way to increase their levels of physical activity while motivating them to remain active.
