DoubleChai.com's mission is provide a social networking environment for Jewish widows and widowers, both single and remarried, to meet friends, share experiences and so much more. Unlike other social networking sites DoubleChai.com is specifically designed with a deep respect for each member's unique experience of loss, their absolute potential for healing and their need for community.

Regardless of their levels of Jewish observance, all members of DoubleChai.com have been through the painful reality of losing a beloved spouse. DoubleChai.com is a place where members will help one another heal, honor and share the memories of loved ones and reconnect with the very human need for companionship, friendship, community, and for some, even love. DoubleChai.com brings these services to the Jewish community at no cost to our membership.

Currently, DoubleChai.com is looking to partner with local synagogues, Jewish family service agencies and community organizations throughout the country to bring our membership opportunities not just online but in their neighborhoods as well.

Please be patient with us as we work out the bugs and get this site functioning at its full potential. In doing so, we look forward to serving our members and act as a conduit in the cycle of life.

Hi Harry, Im not sure exactly what a blog site is.So let me know- I am basically doing great and don't sometimes know what I'm looking for but somehow maybe you get ideas from other people or you can help others--everyones situation is somewhat different. Anyway hopefully I'll learn how to communicate better on the internet and spread some happiness etc. Betty

I wish there was a special way to meet that someone special for instance with orthodox Jewish people it is usually through introduction-but somehow only you and that special person know that you should be together-yes I agree community organizations, and synogogues etc could help. Anyway once someone decides they want to meet someone it's great that there are those that want to help-thanks Bettu

Hi Harry. I'm getting slightly more nervous as we get closer to the wedding. I went to a wedding on Sat.nite and had a near meltdown several times (esp. when the parents were lifted on chairs, connected by a handkerchief). However, I'm doing my best! Yaron (the hattan) misses his father so much, I don't want to add to the gloom. Thanks for your words of support & happy Hanukkah.
