About Me:

I am 47 years old and recently my husband lost his battle with brain cancer. It has been a grueling 11 months and my children, wonderful family and amazing friends have gotten me through this horrible ordeal. I have an extremely optimistic outlook about life and still believe in the power of positive thinking. Family and friends are the most important things in my life. I am an extremely social person and have been searching for a young widows/widowers group in order to avoid being "plus one," which I have affectionately nicknamed myself. It would be nice to be able to speak with other people who are in similar situations.
