Thanks for your quick response. I was really hesitant about goiing online since my loss is very recent, but since I am in need of a support system I took a chance.and here I am. First of all my name is Sam. I sent an e-mail to the e-mail address you sent me but it came back as invalid.(missing a letter I'm sure) I use the nickname Nashama since this word means "Soul" in hebrew. Unfortunately, I do not have any family in this area. I have a son and daughter and 2 grandaughters who live in Israel.
This is my second wife who I have lost to cancer which is unbeleivably painful and eerie since I was married to each of them for 6 years.
Although I have been through this before my previous experience does not help me with dealing with this traumatic nighmare.
Sorry we have to communicate with this common denominator but if you are interested it would be nice to share some thoughts.
I just joined and am looking for someone to chat with who truly understands what I'm going through.
Dear Judy,
The history of our people is the history of community and this site is no different. If each DoubleChai.com member were to bring 3 new members to the site and those new members were to bring 3 new members and so on, this site would soon serve every Jewish widow & widower. Just imagine our strength in numbers and our diversity of experience and how each of us could reach out to one another.
Please take a moment to follow the link below and invite the people you know (even if it is only one other person) who would find the DoubleChai.com community beneficial and inspiring to join the site.

I thank you in advance for your participation. Our future as a site and the services we hope to offer depends a great deal on our members reaching out to their real world contacts about DoubleChai.com.
Gratefully,
Harry

As far a Lockheed Martin goes, I'm primarily an author/trainer/consultant type -- I avoid (like the plague) offensive systems, and I teach people how to solve problems -- basically how to think. I wrote a book: "UML 2 For Dummies" and I teach several internal courses on methodology and style.
I'm not sure I'd want to put Lockheed Martin out of business, that is, a unilateral disarming is probably not a good idea. but on the other hand, I have a good left/liberal background/credentials (I have no idea how they hired me) and a healthy (I think) passionate sympathy for the underdog.
I don't protest much any more; primarily because my distrust for authority, now includes distrust for the motives of the "movement" (or whatever we should call it now) -- though laziness is certainly part of it.
The last political thing I did was sit in on IWW (wobbly) meeting in Boston a few weeks ago -- mostly out of curiosity to see where they're at -- and a bit surprised they still exist. It was lots of fun.
I am a Sagittarius, though I suppose I don't really believe in astrology -- I'm am science type person. However, I didn't believe in Tarot readings, but when I read them for others, everyone told me it worked. So anything is possible.
